Rocklin Majors Suffer First Tournament Loss

After notching seven straight post season wins, the Rocklin LL major division All-Stars took it on the chin for the first time Friday night.

In a Section 2 winner’s bracket semi-final game played at Tahoe-Tallack LL Park in Sacramento, Woodcreek of District 54 (Roseville) handed Rocklin a 6-1 setback.

The loss now puts the District 11 champion Rocklin squad in a do-or-die situation in the tournament.

Rocklin will meet East Sacramento today in an elimination bracket game. The winner will then move on to Sunday’s championship game against Woodcreek.

A second “if necessary” championship game is slated for Monday.
