Wildfire 11 & under team climbs up polls

The Nevada County Wildfire's 11 & under team is ranked in both the USSSA's NorCal and National polls.

Ranked both regionally and nationally, the Nevada County Wildfire 11 and under girls fast pitch softball team continued its red hot Fall season by finishing in second place at the recent USSSA Monster Mash Tournament in Sacramento.

The Wildfire posted tourney victories over the Roseville Thunder, Fairfield Tornadoes and the Yuba-Sutter Sting before dropping a see-saw 13-12 battle to the Valley Magic in the championship game.

The strong tournament showing solidified the Wildfire’s No. 2 spot in the NorCal Region 11 and under USSSA poll and the team’s No. 8 spot in the national ratings.
