Three District 11 Teams Win Openers

Three different District 11 All-Star baseball teams – one from Rocklin and two from Tri-City – captured first round wins their respective Section 4 Tournaments which began on Wednesday night.

In the major division, Rocklin’s All-Stars posted a come from behind 4-2 win over Carmichael to advance in the winner’s bracket. Rocklin, the District 11 champion which is now 6-0 in post season play, will meet East Sacramento, the District 7 champion tonight.

The Section 4 site for 11-12-year-olds has been moved from Parkway Little League to Tahoe-Tallack Little League Park located near Highway 50 and 65th Street in Sacramento.

In the 9-10-year-old tourney at West Sacramento, Tri-City defeated Land Park Pacific in first round action. Tri-City was slated to meet Antelope National in a winner’s bracket game tonight.

Also, Tri-City’s 11-year-old All-Star team defeated Rio Linda in its opening game Wednesday.

Rocklin’s Jr. team won the Section 4 tournament title by defeating El Dorado Hills South, 15-4, on Wednesday. Rocklin’s Junior team now heads to San Jose for divisional play.
