SFLL Rangers Clinch TOC Berth; Now 17-1

The major division Rangers of the Colfax-based Sierra Foothills Little League cinched a berth in the upcoming District 11 Tournament of Champions Monday night.

Getting a big hitting and pitching evening from Wes Woodward and a pair of hits from Mason Lewis, the Rangers topped the Marlins, 5-2.

The win moved the Rangers’ record to 17-1 on the season and will send the victors to the TOC as the SFLL’s No. 1 team.

Woodward’s arm kept the Marlins in check during the game. He also belted a triple and drove in a pair of runs.

Also providing key offense were Wade Lewis and Jacob Yarborough who both contributed RBI doubles.
