PV Vikings Open Season With Win

Pleasant Valley’s flag football squad notched a 30-6 win over Ready Springs this week.

After forcing the Raiders to punt on their first possession, it took just one offensive play for the Vikings to get on the board as running back Kevin Patterson raced in for a 30 yard score.

On the next Viking possession, QB Nolan Stefani upped the count to 14-0 by scoring on a 35 yard romp. He had added a two point conversion by completing a pass to WR Mikey Faudoa in the end zone.

Pleasant Valley continued its fine play on offense when Stefani completed a 20 yard to Patterson for the third Viking touchdown. He then hit Patterson in the end zone for another two point conversion.

The Viking defense played superbly, allowingjust one touchdown in the 2nd half. The leading tacklers were Steven McClenthen with 5 flag pulls including a safety, Nolan Stefani with 4, Kevin Patterson and Andrew Puleo with 3.

David Mateos led the passing defense with 3 of the eight blocked passes, and one interception for a touchdown. Mikey Faudoa also had an interception.
