Magnolia Opens Tourney With Win

The Magnolia 7th grade Lady Rattlers opened up the Nevada County Tournament with a 35-8 victory over Pleasant Valley on Wednesday and improved their record to 11-2 on the season.

Jessica Meylor led all scorers with 7 points and played outstanding defense. Taylor Autrey and Darian Coggan each scored 6 points with Coggan turning up the heat on defense.

Nicolle Kelly had a great game and scored 5 points. While Raquel Addessi and Malone Pearson each tossed in 4 points.

Other Lady Rattlers that scored or played well were Taylor Machado, Makayla Morgan, and Michelle Whiting.
