PV gridders roll pas Ready Springs

After losing a close game to Seven Hills 14 to 8,the Pleasant ValleyVikings flag football squad bounced back to defeat Ready Springs 38 to 8 and improve to 4-3 on the season.

After holding the Raiders on their first possession, it took 7th Grade Viking RB Anthony Fuegos just 2 rushes to score the first Viking TD. Running back Sam Hayward then added the Vikes’ second touchdown with a 7 yard run. QB Nolan Stefani followed by connecting with Hayward forthe 2 point conversion.

For the third time this season, Defensive CB David Mateosintercepted a pass and ran it all the way back for a TD. Stefani connected with TE Matthew Faudoa for the PAT leaving PV in command at halftime, 22-0.

The Vikings kept up their offensive prowess in the second half as Kevin Patterson threw a 30 yard bomb to WR Mikey Fauoda for another Viking score. Sam Hayward ran in for the 2 point conversion.

Late in the 4th quarter, Stefani connected with Hayward for a 12 yard touchdown, then added the 2 point PAT with a throw to Patterson.

The Viking Defense played extremely well, allowing only 1Raider TD, and intercepting 5 passes. The leading tacklers on defense were, Anthoney Fuegos with 5 flag pulls, Steven McClenthen, Zach Ingram, Bailey Duffy and Chris Sardo each with 3.

In other action: The 6th & 7th Grade Viking Team lost a hard fought battle against Seven Hills 28 to 20. RB Anthony Fuegos had touchdown runs in the 1st and 3rd quarters while QB Chris Sardo completed passes to Joseph O'Sullivan, Matthew Faudoa, Anthony Fuegos and a TD to TE Bradley Hedger, and PAT to Steven McClenthen.

Leading the Viking Defense were Anthony Feugos and Joseph O'Sullivan.
