Beck, Solomon Spark Bear River A’s past PV Brewers

A distance going pitching effort by Brodie Beck and a 2x2 batting effort with a RBI double by Brett Solomon proved to be more than enough for the Bear River A’s Little League major division team Monday night.

With Beck allowing just five hits in five frames of work and fanning eight Brewers, the A’s were able to post a hard fought 6-3 win over the Penn Valley Brewers.

Besides his sure hitting at the plate, Solomon pitched the sixth inning to earn the save.

Also starring for the A’s were Dayton Anderson (1x2, RBI); Hunter Cramer (1x2); Nick O’Connor (1x1, triple, RBI) and Sean Mikan who added another RBI with a key bases loaded walk.

Credited with strong defensive games for the winners were Anderson, Beck, Hunter Cramer and Drew Cramer.

The A’s will meet the Bear River Twins Saturday at 12 noon at the BRLL Complex.
