Travis Anderson fires no-hitter for BR Yankees Because of the recent Little League “pitch count” rule, no-hitters sometimes are few and far between for major division hurlers. Such was not the case, however, last Saturday as Travis Anderson did all he could do in his five and one-third inning of mound work for the Bear River Yankees. Tossing no-hit baseball for five and one-third frames before reaching his maximum pitch count, Anderson’s fine twirling helped the Yankees whitewash the Dodgers by a 7-0 count. At the plate Anderson continued his fine afternoon as he also drilled a mammoth home run. Teammates John Drais and Derek Adleman also added triples. |
